A. PRE-ORDER - Singing Magpie Christmas Cake

We have now closed orders and our waitlist for our Christmas cakes for 2024.

For the first time ever we are going to do a PRE-ORDER of our Singing Magpie Produce Christmas Cake. I find making Christmas cakes early, letting them sit until the flavours develop, evolve, deepen in richness, the most cathartic process. They become the ultimate gift of love and taste divine.
I’m using Belinda Jeffrey's recipe ‘Last Minute Christmas cake’ and our spectacular diced fruit mix for the dried fruit required. A mix of figs, peaches, pears, apricots, citrus powder and lemon candied in quince syrup. No sultanas or currants because every other Christmas cake and pudding in the World has a lot of them. 

We are now taking PRE-ORDERS for Christmas cakes. We are making only 30 cakes so its first-in best-dressed. Details:

Pre-orders close: 30 September or earlier if we sell out beforehand.

Cake weight: Approx 950g -1kg allowing some variation for our nutty toppings.

Packaging and deliver: Cake comes gift wrapped and will be EXPRESS posted from 1 December onwards. Wrapping, GST and express delivery all inclusive.

Handmade by us from at least 99% Australia ingredients

Serving suggestions: Can be sliced and eaten as a cake. Also suitable to be sliced and heated through as a pudding.

Ingredients:
Singing Magpie Produce mixed dried fruits 39% (peaches, pears, apricots, figs, lemon, citrus powder, preservative 220 Sulphites), dark brown sugar, whole wheat flour, Sweet Apera and Whisky, eggs, unsalted butter, Riverland almonds and pecans, Sticky Quince Syrup {Quince juice, sugar, lemon}, Citrus glaze {Citrus, sugar, water}, bicarbonate of soda, nutmeg, cinnamon.

Allergens: Contains Gluten, Wheat, Almond, Pecans, Egg, and Sulphites.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place out of sunlight, in an airtight container.
